Tips for Taking Tests, by Dr. Brad Schwall
Use these Cool Rules to do your best on the test.
Get it Done to get ready for the test!
- Know what needs to be done - pay attention to what will be on the test. Make sure you understand what concepts or skills you need to learn.
- Make a plan - learn, practice, review. Write down the facts. Use flash cards. Study a little bit at a time rather than all at once.
- Put the plan into action, and before the test, get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast.
It's test time! Be Confident!
Take a deep breath, get comfortable, don't rush, and check your work.
- Think positively - think, "I'm prepared. I can do this."
- Be myself. Think, "I will relax and show what I know."
- Do my best. Think, "I will concentrate and work hard."
