Tips for Taking Tests, by Dr. Brad Schwall Dr. Brad Schwall

Use these Cool Rules to do your best on the test.

Get it Done to get ready for the test!

  1. Know what needs to be done - pay attention to what will be on the test. Make sure you understand what concepts or skills you need to learn.
  2. Make a plan - learn, practice, review. Write down the facts. Use flash cards. Study a little bit at a time rather than all at once.
  3. Put the plan into action, and before the test, get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast.

It's test time! Be Confident!

Take a deep breath, get comfortable, don't rush, and check your work.

  1. Think positively - think, "I'm prepared. I can do this."
  2. Be myself. Think, "I will relax and show what I know."
  3. Do my best. Think, "I will concentrate and work hard."
