Mary Mathieu, the Richardson ISD counselor leading the lesson, demonstrates how to effectively engage the attention of students, command respect for the topic, encourage thoughtful discussion, facilitate positive role-plays, and reinforce use of the Cool Rules across the campus.
New Cool Kids "Think Sheets"
Use these "Think Sheets" to help students apply the Cool Rules "Get it Done" and "Give Respect" to specific situations. They are examples of some of the new activities included in a "Cool Kids Activity Kit" that will be available for the 2011-2012 school year.

Research on Cool Kids at Baylor University
A professor in Baylor University's School of Education will be doing an outcome study on Cool Kids including researching how Cool Kids can be used to help teachers be "Cool Teachers" in managing behavior and creating a positive class climate.
