Cool Kids Click

Don’t forget about Cool Kids Click, the online game with versions covering character, respect, responsibility, setting goals for college and career, and self-control. Use one of the versions of the game as a lesson.

• The game may be played as a class or in a small group.
• The game can be played in 15-40 minutes depending on how long you take for discussion.
• Make rows or groups of desks teams.  Whichever team’s turn it is when you get four tokens in a row wins.

Create Your Own Cool Kids Video

1.    Choose a Cool Rule or Rules.

2.    Have students write a script.

3.    Include an introduction to the Cool Rule.

4.    Create situations for role-plays or use the Act it Out role-play starters in the Cool Kids lessons.

5.    In the role-plays, emphasize that the students must think the steps to the Cool Rule aloud in the situation.  Watch some of the Cool Kids videos for examples.

Dance and Music Videos

Choose a song that relates to one of the Cool Rules and create a dance or a music video.

Make Music Videos for the Cool Rule Tunes

Choose one of the Cool Rule Tunes and have students think of scenes they can portray to create a music video set to the song.

Cool Rule Super Heroes

Create a Super Hero for each Cool Rule and create a comic book series using the Draw it Out templates or your own comic book template.

Cool Rule Advertising Campaign

Create an advertising campaign for one of the Cool Rules.  The campaign may include:

• Slogans
• Posters
• Flyers
• A web page with an associated QR Code
• Public Service Announcement videos
• Morning announcements
