Talks for Parents, Students, and School Staff on Bullying
Dr. Brad Schwall leads talks for parents, assemblies for
students, and training for school staff on creating a culture of respect
in schools to prevent bullying. Dr. Schwall
doesn't just address bullying, he focuses on what schools need to do to
create healthy learning environments including addressing the social and
emotional factors involved in learning. He encourages the development
of skills that build social and emotional intelligence that can have a
positive impact on academic performance.

Social and Emotional Skills Groups led by Dr. Schwall
Group participants view Cool
Kids videos written and produced by Dr. Schwall
modeling the skills taught, perform-role-plays, discuss the topics, and
complete drawing activities to learn and practice the skills. Families receive
tools to use at home to apply and reinforce the skills at home. The groups are tailored to focus on
topics important to the children participating.

Dr. Schwall provides counseling and consulting for
parents, preschoolers, and children as a Staff Therapist at the Pastoral
Counseling and Education Center. Dr. Schwall offers guidance regarding
behavioral issues as well as social and emotional skill coaching and
groups for pre-schoolers and children. He has been providing
counseling, leading parenting workshops, and teaching social and
emotional skills classes for 17 years.
