
Dr. Brad Schwall created and wrote Cool Kids. Through his experience in counseling parents and children and leading workshops for parents and teachers, he saw the need for an interactive program that teaches children social and emotional skills.
Dr. Brad has been leading social and emotional skills classes for children and parenting workshops for over 10 years. In 1999, he developed Cool Kids which has been taught in multiple public school districts during the school-day, after school, and as a part of PTA programs. Cool Kids classes and workshops have drawn high-attendance crowds and have proved to be effective tools for attracting parents to PTA programs and parent education opportunities.
Dr. Brad is featured in regular news segments about parenting on Dallas/Fort Worth’s ABC affiliate, WFAA-TV. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in education from Baylor University and a doctorate in pastoral psychotherapy from Garrett Theological Seminary at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Dr. Brad and his wife, Lynn, have two Cool Kids of their own, Sam and Grace.
